Its a bunch of junk.
I have dozens of these. You can test ema cross until your blue in the face and they aint gonna make much for you.
Some people say that you shouldn't test the crossing between two MA, but between 1 Ma and the market price. In other terms the crossing of a 21 Period SMA and a 1 Period SMA.
Now that being said I do think that this alone is still pretty crappy.
I would at the very least filter the results with another indicator, either custom or a MACD for example.
