What is the period you run either demo live or real live to evaluate your EA?

there are cycle where the EA performs and not perform. So what is your ideal period before you throw it into the dustbin?

Hi,

Usually 6 months demo, than 6 months live using 0.01 fixed lot. If it is still needs some fine tune I use 6 months more.

do you use draw down as a gauge like on your backtest, your EA max DD is $100

So if you are down with $100, what is your decision?

It is up to the performance of the EA.

My basic goal is to minimize the DD%, I try to keep it below 25%.

The final goal is below 15%.

I think it is up to the user what DD is acceptable, I do not have any problem with 25% DD.
