I actually believe that it will become even more popular in near future. There are many movies made on how ppl get rich from trading plus the medias always share if there is someone who made a significant profit for short period of time and the auditory like it, so they get inspired and started to trade too. Even at some universities they have courses for stock exchanges & trading so  it will continue expanding.
