Fractals, how do they work, and how to take advantage of them?

Hi.

I have never before been intrested in fractals. But suddenly they caught my interesting, due to the other great work Bill Williams done, espacially AO are a great tool for me.

So now I want to learn more about fractals and their nature, I know they are just swing highs and swing lows, so i guess a fractal will be formed then the price rached its swing high and the next bar close lower. (how many bars after swing high are needed for fractals to paint?)

I dont have much idea of how to use them but i come to my mind that a fractal at key level or any dynamic resistance like bollinger band might be high probability trades.

Where can I get the real deal information of fractals and how they are made?

Ideas of usage would a

 

Swings can not be determined for the current bar - otherwise they would folly grails

If you take into account that they lag (since they are) then the idea would be to pay attention to opposite swings (but that is a guessing when the opposite swing can happen then = risky)
