Doing the "guessing game" : yes as far as "do they know". As of source : what do you think where did the decompiler come from?
Can brokers see if you use an EA in MT4 or not?
If so, can they only see the name of the EA or also the source code of the mq4 file?
Thank you very much in advance.

Best RegardsHello!
Broker sees only the name of the EA. He can't see it's code.
Thank you very much for your reply.
This also means that they cannot get the ex4-file, correct?
Do a simple test :
Open only terminal (nothing else, no browser, nothing that works with net)
Watch the "connection status" at the right lower corner and see how little is "uploaded".
Now open the real connection status and see how much is sent (uploaded) from your terminal
Enjoy (if you can)
Does anybody have reliable information regarding this?
maybe from people working at a MT4 broker...
Really noone?
The ex4 file will remain on your computer and it will not be transfered to your broker. If you read their TOS you will see what information is sent to them from your personal computer. There are strict laws about the privacy of users and brokers won't risk to brake them.
