Hey thanks johnyfxtrader for the reply i have since found out a little more it seems it can be done by a MQL programmer as you say.It,s obviously not being done a lot which is a shame i think there are endless possibility's, indicator on indicator etc

Hi sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but can an EA be written where entry and exit signals are taken from crossover/under points from a custom indicator in a separate window from the main chart.In the article on the MQL4 site on "the creation of custom indicators" in the last paragraph it refers to trade functions like order send and order close not being able to be attached to custom indicators. Am i just misunderstanding this?
