Time Frame: 15mins and above

Indicators: Average Directional Movement Index - ADX (Settings : 14) and Fractals

Long (Buy) Positions Using The Fractal Guru Strategy

- On the ADX, the dotted green should be above dotted red and the solid blue line should be steadily rising

- Look for a Candlestick with a tail pointing to a Down Arrow Fractal

- When you see this Down Arrow Fractal, enter Long.

- Place stops 5 pips below the low of the Fractal Candle.

- Exit using proper money management or upon the cross of the dotted green and red lines in the ADX.

Short (Sell) Positions Using The Fractal Guru Strategy

- On the ADX, the dotted red line should be above dotted green line and the solid blue line should be steadily rising

- Look for a Candlestick with a tail pointing to a Up Arrow Fractal

- When you see this Up Arrow Fractal, enter Short.

- Place stops 5 pips above the high of the Fractal Candle.

- Exit using proper money management or upon the cross of the dotted green and red lines in the ADX.

Have you check when the last fractals show up ?

It's not show up directly, but after the 3rd bar it showup on the 1st bar but if the 3rd lowest price lower than the 1st low it undo the arrow on 1st bar (Lower fractal case) same with the upper fractal.

So when it start open trade ? 3rd bar ?

 

is there any further developments...........?

 

Fractals only show s&r for breakout strategy.

fractal shows on second, if wait to close - 3-d bar open

though custom fractals could be used(nbars right/left side) -still can be mess with how far apart tops/bot(fractals) and adx crosses

Fractals are very interesting but by the time they are formed another fractal is usually in the works. It would be just as good to trade candlestick patterns instead. That way at least you get in the trade at the open of the next bar.

 

yes need filter indicator to filter false signals.
