Strange difference or error

There is a strange difference between MT4 build 200 running the IBFX version compared to the Alpari build 200 version.

Checking CCI values for 2008.10.28 12:00 on th EURUSD 1H History

On an historic EURUSD 1H the Commodity Channel Index indicator with HLC/3

gives the value 114.54 for IBFX and 107.57 for Alpari

This difference could be explained by data being slightly different so its probably OK.

If you use the iCCI function the real problem shows.

Testing with an EA in the Strategy Tester using the iCCI function it returns the value 98.3071 when running IBFX (reasonable value)

Running the same test on Alpari returns the value 56.56

That is wrong!

I thouht the platforms would be equal. The broker is not involved here since it is run in the strategy tester

Of course the broker is involved in the tester if the datas you use are from your broker.

That does not explain the difference. The difference between the values when looking at indicator on the graf is minimal. The difference when using iCCI function is huge!

the iCCI function on Alpari is wrong!
