Hard to recognize this when it appears suddenly after a long time.
Tho problem seems to be that my Demo-Installation (from Neuimex) did no longer accept 0.01 steps in lotsize. Hope this helps

I tested MetaTrader again in another PC, I could not log with the previous
login so I recreated one, I think the sw is an update as well.
I noticed that the TFI-Demo server is no more available so I used the
default new one.
Then I ran the basic macd EA example and it did work !!!!!
I will continue now to do more test on other config.
This is too bad that Icould not find explanation for the previous failure
but now I have some hope to make this sw run.
