I've been using trendlines which may help keep you out of a sideways market, but the bottom line is that we just accept the losses in a choppy market which will happen from time to time. You can also try tuning the VQ and Aroon parameters for the currency pair.

i ve quite the same system except that i work in h1 (h4 for tendancy pair) with vq in H4 D1 W1 ... good result for me.

I think an H4 system would work better. We'll need to experiment a bit with the parameters. I'm going to try to write an EA for this as I find anything less than a daily time frame difficult to trade manually....
