Qq EA - page 2

accrete:
Hi all, continuing my test on four pairs w/the out of the box settings on qq_v2. I know it has only been "tested on the EURUSD" but as i've bosted before, hey it's demo, so nothing to loose, and only knowledge to gain.

Here is a web page link to my statement for QQ_v2 ending Friday Sep 22nd . What you will see is an initial demo deposit of 10k in an IBFX demo on 09/12, with first of 5 trades initiated on the 12th, and the most recent of the 5 open/closed on the 19th. Closing balance w/default settings is $16,563. . . oh that reality could be so good!

Now the crazy thing is that out of the EURUSD/GBPUSD/USDCAD/USDCHF, all five of these trades were initiated on the more volitile GBP and CHF pairs. What I did notice on each of the 5 trades (all winners) is that the 60pip default initiated a trade at the tippy top of each of the moves, then a large retracement down, and then back up. Pretty much like entry buy at a new "B" high, then watching it retrace to a "C", then hoping (which each did) that it will reach a new "D" high.

Anyone else out there testing this one with anything to report?

Cheers,

Thom

I started to test GBPUSD and USDCHF https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/175548. It is here. Results will be posted as portfolio #3 on this thread as well.

But probable you are using the other settings from mine as I had 3 trades only for all 3 pairs.

qq EA

qq_v2.1 EA.

Some discussion and explanation of the settings are on those two pages:

Backtesting results for GBPUSD and USDCHF for portfolio #3 are attached. Backtesting for EURUSD please find in this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general

Thanks, Newdigital! Can you tell us a little bit about how this EA works? What's the basic trade model?

EA is very simple and based on momentum indicator coded inside EA. I used this EA in portfolio section here (read first post of this thread and then statements were posted on the thread). This EA is catching the big movement of the price as "news trader".

May be, there is some thread about this EA but I could not find.

I got a lot of requests to fix this EA and finally Igorad did it.

BTW, I updated files' thread now. And all elite section will be cleaning.

Outstanding! Thanks a million, sir.

Just want to remind that I am testing qq_v2.3.mq4 https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/175548

M5 timeframe for 3 pairs. And settings for this version you may find here (use settings from the old version) https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/175548

I am using this EA as portfolio: see this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum

In december this EA did $358.

And please see the new statement attached: this EA did $1,219 in January 2007.

So totally since 1st of December 2006:

$1577

I am not sure but probable it is Metatrader's broker time.

This EA is as simple so I really did not believe that it may be profitable (too simple to be profitable Will see. The first version had a bug and Igorad fixed it so I am using fixed qq_v2.3.

It is based on some momentum indicator's calculation (logic I mean).

Just look at the image attached to understand when this EA opened the order and why stop loss is 30.
