yes they do
I tested via script and they do.
Need some help. When the MT4 platform crashes the Global Variables file is not written to disk, so when restarted the GlobalVariables are not upto date. I found this link New version of MetaTrader 4 Build 195 / News / MetaQuotes Software Corp. which states in point 22 about autosaving the GV. Does anyone know about this (its an old build).
Or can someone suggest another way of being certain the GVs are saved when amended and can be used when te platform is restarted

Hi
Do Global variables retain their value when you shut down metaquotes and restart the machine.
In metaeditor help it says
'Global variables are kept in the client terminal within 4 weeks since the last access, then they will be deleted automatically. '
I don't know many people who manage to keep their machines running without restarting for 4 weeks, so I guess they must retain their values.
I will test this on Monday - Just was too busy at work today.
Any help appreciated
