Why is 2 pole Butterworth different that the usual 2 pole versions and the 3 pole Butterworth is the same as the usual 3 pole versions?

Coefficients for 2 pole are changed. For 3 pole they are not

As far as I see the 2 pole was change in an attempt to make it faster - but as a side effect, it was made overshoot, which is very unpleasant. Maybe that is the reason why the 3 pole did not get that change too
