What is "general release" in your opinion? What is "beta"?

My previos post about beta was deleted - don't know why - I don't think it's good to delete relevant posts voluntarily.

General release are the versions that are released to the brokers and available through the LiveUpdate system., you will also see a sticky at the top of the sub-forum page
