MQL5.com account opening

To open an account in MQL5.com (prior to making a purchase
in the market) when one is already a member of the Mt4
community, what does one do? 
In the terminal, going through tools, options, community,
I've tried
- logging in with my demo account password
- registering a new account using my existing Mt4 login
And online, at https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/498, I've
tried registering for a new account using my existing Mt4
login and email address
but none of these work.  mql5.com complains the my (mt4)
login and email address are already in use

the others report MQL5.community: authorization failed


It is not clear whether mql5 and mt4 are the same or different. 
In any case, as the email address happens to be the one used
by PayPal, it is clearly no use creating a new account with
new login and email address.  The new Mql5 account has to be
linked to my Mt4 email address. 


It's also not clear the distinction between community
and terminal and broker:  if one has logins and passwords for all,
which to use?

I found a combination which worked and have downloaded my purchase without problem.
