C:\Users\stationar\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\E95BD2DCC8A1E7FF3B26E38802F9BF4D\MQL4\Experts
mine is C:\Users\TicTax\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\CBC1E074A032EF0E6A1328D19FB1736E\MQL4
probably has to do with windows
if you open mql4 editor and go to file save as you fine the folders and just drag the path to the folders on the start bar
kanonmicke: My question to you is WHY? Now it will be very hard... |

I was very surprised to notice that the catalogue <broker>/MQL4/Experts no longer have any value.
None of the Experts residing in that directory is valid.
Instead all my EA's are located at the very obvious location:
C:\Users\stationar\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\E95BD2DCC8A1E7FF3B26E38802F9BF4D\MQL4\Experts
If I have several instances of MT4 installed the long very informative name E95BD2DCC8A1E7FF3B26E38802F9BF4D will be for example 1FC724C8C211BFE8ECF8B599A855301E.
Could it have something to do with my windows 10 upgrade, no I don't think so.
It must be a decision MetaQuotes or the owner of the software must have implemented.
My question to you is WHY?
Now it will be very hard to copy/paste EA's between different instances of MT4. When I download and want to test a new EA I have to put it on all my instances or figure out exact what stupied path my instance have (1FC724C8C211BFE8ECF8B599A855301E)
Or could it be that I have missed something, please let's hope It's just me that haven't seen that I can configure the paths to my EA's to whatever directory I want, please....
