Backtesting Question

Hello All,

I have a brief inquiry about backtesting in MetaTrader 4.

I am in Australia so my account is obviously in AUD.

When I backtest I suspect that the platform converts the currency from my account  to the currency I require for a trade based on today's rate. This can be problematic if you are doing long backtests over years. For instance the AUD was worth nearly 1USD a year ago, but now is only worth about 0.77USD.

Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Happy trading.....

Conversion is required only if your account currency is not one of the traded pairs. Change the account currency in the tester or use a pair that has AUD
