.ex4 files won't download to mt4

any help is appreciated

when I click download and it opens in metaeditor, a box comes up "application not found".

I took a screenshot of how it looks in metaeditor.....a few red coded figures with a black number 4 in the middle.

(I've already tried to copy paste into file)

Only .mq4 can be opened in metaeditor.

.ex4 is a compiled binary already.

how do I get the file into  mt4?
 

You don't. You can only compile a mt4 into a ex4.

Next time add the image insert image

If you add image will it download it in mt4 format?
 
He meant to put image inside this thread using the add image button. So, no need to use link.
