Indicator that import sign/symbol from excel spreadsheet

Could anyone give me some guidance please?

I want to build the indicator that import the symbol from excel spreadsheet. For example, 4 July will be marked as circle symbol.

Hi Gooly, The symbol I was referring to is just the font type Wingdings in Microsoft office. It can be anything e.g. finger up/down, flag, star, circle, square etc.

Now if I have the excel database that marks the date and time of some significant historical event, how can I put that into MT4 chart so that I can see its impact on the market.

I guess it has something to do with dll but I don't know where to start.

 
mt4 has Windows' Wingdings #32 - #255, look them up in the reference

My main question is how can I import the database from excel spreadsheet into MT4 chart.


For example:  4 July of every year needs to be marked as Flag on the top of the candle.


 
Yes - if you code it. Mt4 can read csv-files saved by Excel..
