Mt4 on my mac is useless

When using Mt4 on my mac it uses a lot of CPU usage, 30% constant. And I think this might be because Mt4 download insane amount of data, in 24h it downloaded close to 50GB. Yes! I have disabled "News".

 
Maybe you should check the journal, logs etc and trace where the most single big file size.
 

I have, and I can only see times when logged in/out.

Try other broker and see if the same thing happens.
 
The only thing I can think of that could come anywhere near that amount of data is extensive low time frame chart histories on a lot of different symbols.
