Market is closed error

I would like to receive information on the following issues: 

Is the error message of Market is closed only shown when trading session is closed - on weekend or holiday.

Could the market still move when the MT4 servers are in Market is closed mode?

Answers would be appreciated

  1. When the market is closed, there are no ticks and the EA doesn't run
  2. Yes. On my broker, at 5pm ET I get market is closed for several minutes (while swap is computed,) when trading while the chart continues to update.
