strange profit-loss calculation - what went wrong??

Hi,

full of enthusiasm my new EA should start to trade on GBPUSD with an USD-account of 10'000.00 US$ in the strategy-tester (here the complete result-tab):

#       Time              order       tickt     lot       open       stop     target             profit           balance
1    2013.10.01 03:10    sell             1    1.00    1.62245    0.00000    0.00000               0.00          10000.00
2    2013.10.01 03:10    modify           1    1.00    1.62245    1.62657    1.62133               0.00          10000.00
3    2013.10.01 03:10    close at stop    1    1.00    1.62257    1.62657    1.62133    -10000000012.00    -9999990012.00

It opened its first position SELL with 1 lot and the price rises 1.2 pip and that causes a loss of -10'000'000'012.00 US$ ????

This is the journal-tab:

2013.10.01 03:10 Tester: order #1 is closed
2013.10.01 03:10 BBmCv2: stopped because of Stop Out
2013.10.01 03:10 BBmCv2 GBPUSD,M1: modify #1 sell 1.00 GBPUSD at 1.62245 sl: 1.62657 tp: 1.62133 ok
2013.10.01 03:10 BBmCv2 GBPUSD,M1: open #1 sell 1.00 GBPUSD at 1.62245 ok

What happened? What can I do?

Gooly

PS: Another try (restart) produces exactly the same.

Maybe your symbols info is screwed up . . . has this Terminal been connected to your Broker before ?

yes all the time..

Check your data at that time to see if you have a massive spike . . . I've seen something like this reported before, can't remember if it was resolved or not.

10 Billion Loss

That is painted on the chart. You can see ~12pip target and ~40 pip stop - no spike.

the 12 part is correct, right?

it seems to have hit (for some reason) the allowable limit of the balance

What you see on a static chart is not what is in the fxt file.

How can I check the fxt file?

It was created by Birt's csv2fxt

Well the 12 $ loss are correct!! So this must have been calc on the correct quotes. So hard ist is hard to believe that it is a miss-quote!

You can open it in a binary editor and read it . . . but I wouldn't do that, just get to a point in the strategy tester before the trade is closed and then advance tick by tick by tick . . . I don't know that this is your issue, but it's worth checking IMO . . . turn the Ask line on also.
