Calculating profit or loss in ATC 2012

I was studying the championship hoping to get ideas for my own trading.  I was studying the open positions and I dont understand the profit column.  El Trader is short 15 EURUSD at 1.30929 and its marked at 1.30701,  228 tick profit.  The value of a tick is $.96 so I would think 228 x .96 x 15 would be his profit  $3,283, the screen has him at $5,130.  What am I doing wrong?  Does anyone know how the profit is calculated?

I also checked the closed deals, on 10/12 9:21 bought 15 @ 1.29685 sold on 10/15 23:20 @ 1.30944 for a profit of  1,259 ticks.  Again 1,259 x .96 x 15 = 18,129.60.  If you divide this number by 3 you get 6,043.20 per 5 lot.  The screen shows 6,295.

 What am I missing?

You should ask that question in MQL5 forum and not here. MT4 is ticket based trade platform while MT5 is position based.

When you open more than 1 position in MT5, you will end up with only one position with averaged open price, while in MT4 you will 2 open position with different open price.

phi.nuts,

So, ATC 2012 is MT5 based, the cost is the average cost (weighted average?).  The math should be the same; (proceed - cost) x tick factor x contracts  = profit.  The math does not add up.

You must be talking about this position below.

Maybe that was just an update issue with the ATC web. Price do moving up and down, so MQ probably not updating it on every tick

The tick value for EURUSD is $ 1 not $ 0.96.

Its weekend now so the price is dead and we could calculate the profit or loss.  In this case the profit will be : contract * tick value *  (point difference between open price and current price) = 15 * 1 * ((1.30929 - 1.30252)/_Point) = 15 * 1 * 677 = 10,155.-

My suggestion is not to use ATC web but use MT5. JP Alonso ATC account number is 1110205, Investor password : MetaTrader (should be typed not copy paste), server :  access.metatrader5.com:443
