Can't open hst-File

Hi,

I have got a hst-File from a friend with quotes from metatrader. But unfortunately I can't open it with my metatrader and I also can't open it with wordpad or notepad or...

My friend is in holiday. Is there any posibillity to get the quotes from the hst-File or to repair it in any way??

How are you trying to open it in MetaTrader ?

I tried F3 (Complete History) > Import

but in any option (, / ; / tab / space) no mater if I choose Volume or not

I can't see any preview data

I guess you mean F2, History Center . . . did you import it as ASCII or MetaQuotes files ?

You shouldn't need to do that . . . you should just disconnect from your Broker, copy the file to the history/servername folder and then restart MT4, then go to the chart whose data you just copied and to the timeframe for the data you just copied.
