can i trust the optimization?

I have an EA and i want to test it with the optimization, is the optimization any good?

 
Yes and no. Or to be more precise: It depends.
 

i tested my EA more then one with the optimization, the optimization return to me that the max profit was 4000, so i did back testing with the same faramters as i got from the optimization and my profit was around 2200, how is it possibly? why i dont have the same results

optimize on one time range, test on another.

The tester uses the spread at the time of optimization start/backtest start. Difference could be change in spread.
