One Month of Registration of the Automated Trading Championship 2010

A month has passed since the beginning of registration of the Automated Trading Championship participants. During this period, we received about 400 applications. Nearly the same number of applications was received for the first month of registration in 2006, when the first Automated Trading Championship was held. Such a small number of applications is due to the use of a new development environment: in 2006 the Championship was the first competition for the developers of trading systems in MQL4; now the ATC 2010 is a pioneer in the competitive development of trading systems in MQL5.
Rashid Umarov believes that the total number of applicants will finally exceed 3000, while more than 500 users will participate in the Championship. Such was the experience of past competitions.
"400 applicants in this stage is not a bad result. This is the vanguard who has already evaluated the potential of the MQL5 development environment and started to write Expert Advisors. However, the prospective participants shouldn't worry about the novelty of the MQL5, - Rashid says. – Very soon we will publish new materials on www.mql5.com, telling in a comprehensive manner about the development of trading robots in MQL5. Together with documents this will be of great assistance to anyone who is going to participate in the Automated Trading Championship 2010".
To everyone, who is wishing to become a Participant of the Championship, Rashid Umarov advises to read articles on mql5.com and to carefully study documents on MQL5 and materials of past contests. The latter will help to get an idea of the most common errors in codes and strategies. Special attention should be paid to statistical statements of the Championship winners.
