Same EA made quite different results on different platforms

Hello pro coders,

When I tested my EA on the first platform for 10 years, it made 55 transactions.

When I tried it on a different platform, it only made 17 transactions.

Later on I found the chart of first platform does not have the bar for Sunday(American east time 17:00-24:00), whereas the second plat form do have that bar.

Is this the reason to make the results different? If it is, is there any way to make the two kinds of chart or data uniformed?

Thank you

hi,

every brokerage has their own prices, different from the others. It is perfectly normal for the same EA to show different performance on different brokerages because of this. Sometimes the difference is minor, other times quite significant.

thank you

Thank you Automated, as in my second platform, is there any method to eliminate the bar on every Sunday and recaculate the moving average(to make it the same as the first platform)?

: )

Depending on what you are trying to achieve, you could follow the instructions discussed many times to stabilise the strategy tester offline (search the forum or Google) and export your data from the History Centre on one platform and import it to the other. CB

Where can I get help for making my Expert Advisor work the same on all platforms?

In the preceding post.
