what i observe MACD is sloping down, the price can actually be going up still just that the price action is slower, not so trending.
what you can try is using multiple timeframe analysis.
for example : if you are using H1 for the macd signal, when you detect the signal, use a smaller timeframe to confirm the signal maybe with a moving average cross over.
