Just FYI I have never used Vista, and never will.
But I have a fellow trader in another city with Vista (Home Premium) on his PC, and he could not get my EAs to work.
All sorts of errors appeared in the Journal, so I went in via RDP(or similar) and had a look...
Made a simple EA just to report some vital data as Comment, and was amazed to see that much of the MarketInfo
returned "0"... especially info about lots (MinLot, LotStep, Spread, etc) all returned "0".
Other data like Close[0], Bid, Ask all worked ok, Account info also returned correct data.
I ran the tests on two terminals, Alpari UK live and IBFX demo, both V225.
I'm running xp on my PCs and everything works as expected here.
Is this yet another good reason to throw Vista out the window or is there a fix for this problem ??
