Oops, you want details. This means you are smart.
Anyway, when I say optimization: I am referring to genetic optimization of your strategy.
Of course, I know that optimization can be curve fitting. Hence, the solution is to NOT
just test on a pair but on several pairs.
That way, you are more LIKELY to be optimizing your strategy and not changing your setting
to curve fit. AGAIN, the FOCUS is on on optimizing your strategy
and NOT your settings to make data look better.

FOREX RULES:
1. Do MANUAL optimization, analysis and research on weekends.
2. Weekdays are set for automatic trading.
3. Monitor system randomly, i.e, every 5 hours, just to be sure
system did not go haywire.
4. If system malfunction, fix emergencies now. And minor problems can
be fix on the weekends.
5. Never go against rule 1, 2, 3, and 4.
This is the set of rules that I go by daily. And I hope it helps somebody out there.
