When you first started forex before your first margin call did you know and understand what a margin call was?

yes, I knew ... it was german election in 2004 or 2005 ... and it hoped that price is reversed for at least 10 pips ... tomorrow ... the day after tomorrow ... but it was nothing. So, the conclusion:

  • never trade during the German election :)
  • always place stop loss 
 
When i started i thought the equity could go to negative value so you can just wait for it to come back like trades :-p
