"waiting for update" what's error is this?

Hi,

I want to continue a back test ea on strategy tester, but it says "waiting for update" and doesn't work.

I did test once successfully but I cannot continue it.

Does anyone know what is the problem?

It's connecting to the server to download past trading data so you can back-test your ea. If you have a slow connection or a firewall, this could take a long time. Also, if you back test over a very long period like years, it will take longer for meta trader to download past data.

Try backtesting for only a few days first and see if this fixes it.
