I'm brand new to Forex but I think I can help with this one. I live in PA and it's 2 for me.

I use this site to compare with the heading in the Market Watch window... http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Hope it's ok to post the link Mr. Moderator.

Hello,

The correct offset for both of you can be found in the tutorial videos in the FAPTURBO members area.

Thw offset is not based on your location but on your borkers location.

There are only 8 videos and I think it's discussed in Viedo #2.

Yea I'm sorry. I just assumed we were all using ForexMeta as the broker. According to the video, simply comparing the time in the "Market Watch" window with the GMT gives you the offset. I only mentioned I was in PA because we are close as veto99631 is in Jersey...lol

I doesn't matter where you or your broker is located, what matters is what setting your broker is using. I'd say contact your broker to find out want setting they're using, that's what I did. But, the person I spoke to gave me the wrong answer. He gave me the broker location to the GMT not what setting to use for their trading platform.

Here's a better way. click on the following link to find the GMT. http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/ Now do a little math to find out the hourly difference. That is the offset. If the market watch time is ahead of the GMT then your setting is a positive number. But don't use a plus sign. Just write as you normally would for a positive number. If your broker's time is behind the GMT put a negative sign in front of the number. I'm using ForexMeta and FXDD is how they use for their market info. And ForexMeta's offset is 3. It should be the same for FXDD. But check as described above to make sure.
