Vista is bullshit: Memory handler: cannot allocate 1165032 bytes of memory but 632% RAM is still free?? Visa & Metatrader ist trustworthy??
suggestion,
could dual boot eg, Ubuntu 8.10 http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/3659/ubuntu-810-easily-install-inside-windows-for-dual-booting/ and use Wine emulator http://www.winehq.org/
many use some sort of combo like above and is ok.
some have troubles getting wireless to work with their linux distros... but if 3GB mem then guess u got newish laptop so wireless setup prob no issue.
anyways, simple to findout would think.

I get constantly these messagess after 12 h running MetaTrader without problems:
2008.11.25 22:05:50 HistoryBase: not enough memory 'EURUSD1' [57109 bars]
...
2008.11.25 22:06:01 Memory handler: cannot allocate 2524060 bytes of memory
MetaTrader is running allmost solaly on my notebook with 3GB RAM and vista home 'premium'.
The sidebar thing shows only 62% memory use?
Do I have to restart metatrader or vista as well - what if I've had open positions?
Cann't you coompile a Linux-version, I am convineced, nobody would have this problem.
Will this happen again and again? Could it be a part of my indicators - how can I found out where and what?
