Emailing indicators

How do I email an indicator to someone else? Is there a way to export the files or something?

Yes that's what I mean. Do I just send them the .mq4 file or is there something else I have to do to properly transfer.

Yes. mq4 (indicator's sources) or ex4 file (compiled indicator)
