bear flag breakouts on eurusd

I believe that sometimes you simply need to remove an EA from a chart on day where there's a lot of noise and choppiness. An experienced trader simply knows when it's not a good time to trade, an inexperienced trader does not know. Some EAs try to avoid noise, corrections against the trend, and whipsaws by using technical analysis, but it doesn't always hold.

I'm liking this unique macd I made which removes false signals using a different technique than in Elders impulse macd. It's generally reliable... I might put it out there

Momentum trading on M15, that's where it's mostly at for me. Volatility and momentum is very reliable as long as you can gauge the current regime and as long as you don't make an idea of the trend right before big news times

my trend trading bot took this trade and I let it take full control as I was mowing the lawn, let's go

my first EA was a nice pretty 50 lines of code....now with professional (and backtested) risk management, my current machine sits at 1592 lines of code

- Session time filter (control in which sessions it trades, and which hours)
- Extreme price filter (no buys at the high price, no sells at the low price)
- Deal analysis conditions (ability to hault trading on the first loss)
- Trade age analyzer (close weak trade depending on how long the trade is open)
- Volatility based stop loss
- Adaptive exit signal
- Drawdown controller

Some unique things too. There's a lot that people don't consider.

I don't understand the purpose of publishing a really unsafe EA in the codebase. There are very few which are usable. I mean, if it's not profitable, why publish it? to prove the strategy isn't working? it doesn't make sense. It just creates more headaches for people

There's enough entry signal systems out there, so I don't bother looking for more. At this point, what I continue to look for is reliable (and adaptive) non lagging exit signals, and fake breakout filters. I have something already, which gives enough confidence for automated trading on live account, but just as you have a car to get you from A to B, it's not like that will be the vehicle you decide to use forever if you understand me. The tools or strategies we're using should be changed sometime if there's a real reason to change them.

the new market inducement filter I made is giving interesting results in automation...this filter works to close trades early when institutional inducement is detected (buy side liquidity and sell side liquidity), it is to avoid falling into bull traps and bear traps due to fake breakouts

My goal was to push the boundaries again and try to unravel noise-free market direction through price acceleration (on higher timeframe candles). This indicator also uses an institutional liquidity sweep filter so that all fake moves are filtered out and this allows the trend to continue. The threshold for the filter is dynamic with volatility.
The image is an M15 chart with the indicator calculating the H3 trend.

Understand that certain things in trading naturally won't work together.

Volume, momentum, and trend strength signal types naturally desynchronize because they measure different phases of market behaviour.
Momentum signals fire during the early phase of a move.
Volume signals fire during the participation phase of a move.
Trend‑strength signals fire during the confirmation phase of a move.
And because these phases occur at different times, the signals rarely align properly with each other.

If you build a specific entry system, stick with one approach, and don't try to filter the entry with things that don't synchronize.

the macd (and several variations) signal on everything, they will signal on the fake moves, and liquidity sweeps, but that doesn't mean it can't be automated well. With enough risk management and fakeout detection techniques, it's still possible to make a good automated system, and it's good practice to take something that signals on everything and try to make it profitable in the strategy
