Overview
This is an advanced, interactive Volume Profile indicator for MetaTrader 5. It allows traders to analyze volume distribution across price levels within a user-defined time range. The indicator supports both fully manual control and automatic rolling time windows, making it suitable for session analysis, range analysis, and continuous monitoring of recent market activity.
The volume profile is calculated by distributing the volume of each candle proportionally across the price levels it covers, producing a highly accurate horizontal histogram.
Core Features
1. Interactive Fixed Range Volume Profile
- Two vertical lines (“VP begin” and “VP finish”) define the calculation range.
- Drag either line to adjust the start or end of the profile.
- The profile recalculates instantly when the lines are moved or when the chart changes (zoom/scroll).
2. Move Profile as a Complete Unit
- Hold Shift and drag either vertical line.
- Both lines move together by the same amount, preserving the duration of the range.
- This allows you to slide the entire volume profile window across the chart while keeping the same time length.
3. Auto-Track Mode (Rolling Time Window)
- Enable UseAutoTrack.
- Select duration from a dropdown (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 hours).
- The two vertical lines automatically lock to the last X hours ending at the most recently closed candle.
- The profile updates automatically every time a new candle closes, continuously tracking the most recent X-hour window.
- Manual dragging is disabled while Auto-Track is active.
4. Volume Profile Display Options
- MaxBarWidth – Maximum length (in pixels) of the longest volume bar (POC).
- AttachToRightOfChart – When enabled, the entire volume profile is fixed to the right edge of the chart (classic professional layout). When disabled, bars grow from the finish line.
- Adjustable number of price bins (precision).
- Choice of Real Volume or Tick Volume.
- Calculation can be performed on the current timeframe or a higher/lower timeframe.
5. Point of Control (POC)
- Clearly highlighted in a distinct color (default: Orange).
- Represents the price level with the highest traded volume in the selected range.
6. Volume Clusters (High Volume Nodes) & Craters (Low Volume Nodes)
- Automatic detection of significant volume concentrations and voids.
- Clusters (HVN): Price levels where volume ≥ Average Volume × ClusterMultiplier → colored green.
- Craters (LVN): Price levels where volume ≤ Average Volume × CraterMultiplier → colored red.
- Optional background zone outlines that highlight contiguous clusters and craters for clearer visual identification of acceptance and rejection areas.

How to Use
Manual Mode
- Attach the indicator.
- Drag the green vertical lines to select any range.
- Hold Shift + drag to move the entire range as one unit.
- Adjust MaxBarWidth and positioning as desired.
Auto-Track Mode
- Set UseAutoTrack = true.
- Choose the desired number of hours (e.g., 4 Hours).
- The profile will automatically lock to the last X hours and keep updating with every new closed candle.
