GoldNY Combo

GoldNY Combo is an Expert Advisor for XAUUSD on the H1 timeframe (MetaTrader 5), built around the New York morning session. It combines two independent trading engines that work from the same session reference, so a single trading day can produce one or two separate entries.

KEY FEATURES

• Session-based logic tied to New York time, with automatic US daylight saving adjustment
• Two independent engines with separate risk settings
• Every trade has a fixed stop loss and take profit

• Risk per trade as a percentage of balance, set separately for each engine

SETUP
Four settings need your attention before running live:

1. ServerHour: aligns the EA with your broker’s server time. Default is 12, which corresponds to 08:00 New York time on Exness standard accounts (UTC+0 in summer). Check the server time printed in the journal on startup and adjust if needed.
2. RiskPercent_A and RiskPercent_B: risk per trade as a percentage of balance, default 1.0 for each engine. Adjust to your account size and risk tolerance.
3. MinRangePoints: filters out low-volatility days by skipping sessions where the 08:00 NY candle is too small. Default is 0 (disabled). Recommended values:
   • Exness standard (XAUUSDc, 3 decimal places): 16400
   • FundingPips and other 2-decimal brokers: 1640
   • If unsure, leave it at 0.
4. MinStopPoints_A: minimum stop distance for Engine A in points. Default is 0 (broker minimum only). Recommended values:
   • Exness standard: 10000
   • FundingPips and other 2-decimal brokers: 1000
   • If unsure, leave it at 0.

Results come from a backtest over one specific period. Live trading differs because of spread, slippage, execution and market conditions. Always run your own backtest on H1 with “Every tick based on real ticks” before going live.

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Test on a demo account first and confirm the server hour for your broker.
• Attach it to a single XAUUSD H1 chart on a broker with low gold spreads around the New York open.
• Use a hedging account. On netting accounts both engines share the same position when open simultaneously.
• A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
