After update, backtester is not making any trades. Dear Vesa-Matti.
We have run it several times on several instruments, including XAGUSD, and it works perfectly on all timeframes. It may not work for you because of poor parameterization.
Does anyone have any set files that look like they could be profitable?
I am struggling a bit to find good settings, but it's early days.
At the moment i am trying out gold on the D1 and H2.
It is worth using the optimization tester on the given instrument and setting the testing period based on the strategy used. It is also worth considering that in certain situations a person intervenes in the trade based on intuitions, in case of major news, etc. which the tester does not show.

I think it could possibly be improved with an adjustable EMA filter.
If something is on a strong uptrend i dont always want to take short trades on it.
You could also just but an only shorts or only longs filter on it i guess.
But the bot looks good, well done.

Hi, Slight hiccup, now if you put it to long only it just takes one trade and keeps it, same with short only.
The direction switch was indeed faulty and we have fixed it. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you have a successful trading!
