# 🚀 MT5 Set‑File Specialist Needed – Robust Presets for Existing Scalper EA (Prop‑Firm Conditions)

## Project Overview
I already have a fully coded MT5 Expert Advisor (`MultiSymbol_Scalper_EA.mq5`) that trades a mean‑reversion / scalping framework.  
I am **not** looking for a new EA or strategy code. I need an experienced MT5 quant/optimizer to build **robust .set files** for multiple FX pairs under strict **prop‑firm style** testing conditions.

**IMPORTANT: All communication must be in English.**

## Symbols and Scope

Initial list of pairs (this may expand later):

- EURUSD
- USDJPY
- GBPUSD
- GBPJPY
- USDCAD
- EURGBP
- AUDUSD
- AUDNZD

You can indicate which of these you are confident to cover; we can agree final scope and budget per symbol.

## Testing Rules (Must Follow Exactly)

All optimisation and validation must be done **inside MT5 Strategy Tester** using:

- **Modelling**: `Every tick based on real ticks`
- **Execution**: `Random delay` (to simulate real execution, not idealised backtests)
- **Data range**: Normally **Jan 2024 → present**, or as I specify per symbol
- **Account style**: Prop‑firm style (e.g. initial balance 5 000 USD, leverage 1:30 – exact details will be provided)
- **Forward test split**: At least **30–40%** of the total period dedicated to forward testing (out‑of‑sample)

For each candidate preset, the **forward period** metrics are what matter most.

### Minimum Performance Targets (Per Symbol)

On the **forward** segment:

- **Profit Factor**: ≥ **1.30**
- **Max equity drawdown**: ≤ **10%**
- **Total trades (back + forward)**: ≥ **60 trades**  
  (I prefer more trades if PF and DD stay acceptable.)

Backtest PF can be higher, but I will reject any presets that only look good in‑sample and collapse in forward.

## Your Task

For each agreed symbol:
 
1. Design and run optimisations / walk‑forward style tests to search for **robust** parameter combinations.  
2. Produce at least **one main preset** per symbol that meets the performance targets above under the specified test conditions.  
3. Optionally provide **1–2 alternate presets** per symbol where there is a clear trade‑off, e.g.:
   - Higher PF but fewer trades, or  
   - More trades but slightly higher DD.
4. Avoid obvious over‑fitting:
   - No extreme parameter values that only fire a few times.  
   - Preferring smooth performance across multiple months rather than a single hot period.

**Important:** This job is about **inputs only**. Do **not** change the strategy logic or code unless we explicitly agree a small, well‑defined modification.

## Deliverables

For each symbol you work on:

1. **Preset Files**
   - `.set` files with clear names (e.g. `EURUSD_Prop_M5_Main.set`, `USDJPY_Prop_M5_Alt1.set`).

2. **Test Evidence**
   - Screenshots of MT5 Strategy Tester **Backtest** and **Forward** result pages, showing:
     - Profit Factor
     - Max equity drawdown (absolute and %)
     - Total trades
     - Test period and modelling settings (Every tick + Random delay)

3. **Short Notes**
   - 2–4 lines per preset describing:
     - Overall style (conservative / balanced / aggressive)
     - Any notable behaviour (e.g. more active during London/NY, more sensitive to spreads, etc.)

## What I’m Looking For in a Freelancer

- Strong experience with **MT5 optimisation and robustness testing**.
- Comfortable working with:
  - Forward testing / walk‑forward validation
  - Parameter range design (not brute‑force random overfitting)
  - Reading and interpreting PF/DD/trade‑count trade‑offs.
- Ideally: prior experience preparing EAs for **prop firms** (FTMO, 5%ers, etc.).

### In Your Proposal, Please Include

- A brief description of similar work you have done (optimising EAs, building set files).  
- How you normally avoid **overfitting** (e.g. forward testing, multiple date ranges, parameter clustering, etc.).  
- An indication of:
  - How many symbols from the list you can realistically cover, and  
  - Your estimated price **per symbol** or for the whole package.

## Project Timeline & Budget

- Timeline: Flexible, but I prefer staged delivery (e.g. 2–3 symbols first, then the rest).  
- Budget: To be discussed based on number of symbols and your experience. Please quote a **per‑symbol** price in your bid.

- **No new EA coding is required** – this is an optimisation / research job on an existing EA.  
- **All communication must be in English.**  
- I reserve the right to request reasonable adjustments if a preset shows signs of overfitting when I re‑test it on my side.
