I'm working on developing an Expert Advisor (EA) in [MQL5] that aims to place buy and sell stop orders based on new bars.

I'm currently encountering an issue with [error code 5040 when placing Buy Stop orders]. I've tried but haven't been able to resolve it.

I'd appreciate any help or guidance you could offer on:

  • Troubleshooting the error code [Error code, e.g., 5040].
  • ensuring the EA works correctly in live markets, best practices for order placement with my broker FxPro.
