EURUSD has a strong positive correlation with the GBPUSD (British pound vs US dollar) and a strong negative correlation with the USDCHF (US dollar vs Swiss franc). It's important to note that reversion to the mean is not a guarantee, as it takes time for the mean to be reestablished. Also, the principle assumes that the distribution is normal, which is not always the case in real-world scenarios. The distribution curve can move this is why self optimisation is essential . Only BBSO is self optimising, and reversion to the mean is only one aspect of 5 possible modules .
