1. Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced MQL5 developer to design a robust, clean, and well-structured Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5.
The goal is to transform a clearly defined trading logic into a stable, efficient, and fully configurable EA, suitable for backtesting and optimization.

2. Platform & Language

  • Platform: MetaTrader 5
  • Programming language: MQL5
  • Code must follow best practices (modular structure, readability, comments).

3. Trading Logic

  • The EA will trade Forex instruments (symbols to be defined).
  • Timeframes: configurable (default to be defined).
  • Entry conditions based on:
    • Technical indicators (to be specified precisely)
    • Logical confirmations (no discretionary rules)
  • No repainting, no future data usage.

4. Trade Management

  • One trade per signal (no uncontrolled overtrading).
  • Optional features (to be discussed):
    • Break-even
    • Trailing stop
    • Partial close

5. Risk & Money Management

  • Risk management is a key priority.
  • Position size calculated based on:
    • Fixed lot or
    • Risk percentage per trade
  • All risk parameters must be externally configurable.

6. Execution Filters

  • Trading session filter (hours & days).
  • Maximum spread filter.
  • Slippage protection.
  • Optional news filter (if feasible).

7. Inputs & Customization

All parameters must be accessible via input variables, including:

  • Risk settings
  • Indicator parameters
  • Trade management rules
  • Filters and protections

8. Logging & Visualization

  • Clean and informative journal logs.
  • Optional on-chart information panel:
    • Current status
    • Open positions
    • Account/trade statistics

9. Testing & Quality Requirements

  • Fully compatible with MT5 Strategy Tester.
  • Stable behavior during optimization.
  • No critical errors or warnings.
  • Developer should perform internal testing before delivery.

10. Deliverables

  • .mq5 source file
  • .ex5 compiled file
  • Short user guide explaining inputs and logic
  • Post-delivery bug fixes (reasonable period)

11. Communication & Professionalism

  • Clear communication and structured feedback.
  • Respect of deadlines.
