XAU Accumulator is a dip-aware position accumulation EA for XAUUSD. This short guide covers how to set it up correctly and what kind of behavior to expect, so you can decide if it fits your account before running it live.
SETUP
1. Attach the EA to an XAUUSD chart (any timeframe — it evaluates by calendar day/week internally, not by candle).
2. Make sure AutoTrading is enabled in your terminal.
3. Recommended minimum starting balance: $20,000 on a standard account with default lot sizes (InpLotsDip / InpLotsBase = 0.01). On a cent/micro account, scale these lot inputs to match your broker's contract size — do not use the same 0.01 default blindly, since contract sizes vary by broker.
4. Recommended leverage: 1:100 or higher.
5. A VPS is recommended for uninterrupted weekly evaluation, especially if you enable daily evaluation (InpEvalEveryTickV1 — testing only by default).
WHAT TO EXPECT
This EA buys XAUUSD based on price versus a 30-day SMA, and it never closes a position to take profit on its own — that decision is always yours. The only automatic closes are safety nets: an emergency margin stop (InpEnableEmergencyStop, 150% by default) and a basket stop-loss (InpEnableBasketStopLossV2, 25% of account balance by default).
Because there is no per-trade stop-loss, this strategy holds through drawdowns rather than exiting them. In our historical testing, maximum floating (equity) drawdown reached 71.82% of account equity at one point, before recovering to a large net profit over the full test period.
