Every time you remove a hedge the market will go against you. Directional trading is part luck, part experience and part talent. If you are using machines to make your life bearable ( manual trading is not a viable sustainable long-term solution ), you always need a hedge. The hedge can vary in % and can be changed using trend techniques, notably Renko. However you need volatility If you have a good algorithm and volatility, you will always have an edge.
