Due to internal refactoring, it has been possible to drastically increase the speed of FX Volume in the strategy tester.
Apart from that, we made some improvements in handling graphical objects when using several instances in one chart to avoid possible flickering issues.

I have been using FX Volume for around 4-5 months and I can not rate it highly enough. Along, with the rest of Stein's tools they were a real gamechanger for me after years of struggling to find an

I have to revise my previous analysis because I missed one important detail when watching on the FX Volume panels. The fact that the USD long positions dropped during the Asian session and this dynamic continued with the London opening.
So why does this cause such a spike?
If you want to close a long position in Forex you have cover it with an opposite short trade.
As retail trader you just click close but your broker has to cover this position to be net flat.
That's why a reduction of USD Long Volume results in USD short positions and this pushes the USD counterparts in the opposite direction.
I hope this helps to understand what's going on right now.
Nonetheless, I stick to my opinion to trade rising total volume because it provides the smoother trade experience, as seen yesterday.

So we'll stay at the sideline and monitor what happens until there is some upcoming dynamic in the trading volume.

During today's Asian session there have been some significant changes in the USD, CAD and GBP trading volume BUT the close of positions mainly caused them to see in the dropping total volume in all three currencies.
What does that mean?
If the sentiment changes only by the close of positions, there is no further interest in these currencies, which is necessary for trend moves to continue.
In short:
Increasing volume = stable market/currency
Decreasing volume = unstable market/currency
That's at least my observation so far.
