I am pleased to introduce the MT5 version of my popula Heiken Ashi EA, loaded with a default EURUSD H4 strategy.
These settings were specially optimized for ECN Raw Spread ICMarkets accounts (New York based GMT+3 time zone servers). Other brokers or account types may be used, but you may need to test Heiken Ashi EA MT5 and make any necessary time adjustments to fit your broker/account.
Here is the MT5 100% quality backtest with default settings for EURUSD H4 2020-2021 period.

WARNING: You must adjust Heiken Ashi EA's MT5 Start Time and End Time settings accordingly, before you test or trade with it!
EA keeps showing alert that says, "Alert: Incorrect input!" every time I try to use it. I also placed the Heiken Ashi indicator from the link in the overview section in the root MQL > Indicators folder, so I doubt if that's the problem. Here's the settings file I'm using for the EA; can you look it over and tell me what I'm entering wrong?
And the MA settings for the Heiken Ashi Smoothed show:
MA Method 1: 2
MA Period 1: 6
MA Method 2: 3
MA Period: 2
I understand what MA period means, but what does the number values for "MA Method" mean? It's not mentioned on the input parameters page. I was expecting it to show a string value like "smoothed" or "linear weighted", not a number value. I don't understand that.

The incorrect input mistake is in the Start Time format, must be 01:00 and not 1:00.
As for the Smoothed Heiken Ashi values, you are right, the numbers correspond to this sequence:
1. Simple
2. Exponential
3. Smoothed
4. Linear Weighted
I will correct these at the next update.
I hope you understand that the 0 setting in Minimum Distance for Same Direction Orders, means that the EA will open a new trade at every new candle of the same Heiken Ashi candles color. If you don't want that, change that setting to a large number, like 3000 (points).
Okay, thanks. It's working now. And thanks also for giving the number values. I've been waiting to find a good Heiken Ashi EA for MT5, and this one looks promising.

Hello Phillipe, you can Close by Opposite Signal=false and that means that the EA can open an opposite direction trade, without closing the running one first.

Hi Eleni,
So if i put Close by Opposite Signal = True then it will close the previous position and take a new position with opposite direction right? But how about i don't want both condition?
I want that the first position taken is maintain till it will close by SL or TP. By the way do you have Telegram channel ? it would be nice to have one.

Yes, if you put the setting to true will do as you say.
The 2nd condition is what you have now, you will have both (opposite) positions until they are closed by TP or SL.

Heiken Ashi EA MT5. When the Smoothed HA mode is enabled in the settings, the advisor is removed from the chart, and “OnInit error” is written in the log. It works fine in Classic mode, but this mode gives a lot of false inputs. How to fix this problem. Other advisors work flawlessly. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Isn't the indicator built into the Expert Advisor?

You need to install the Heiken Ashi Smoothed indicator into your MT5 >> File >> Open Data Folder >> MQL5 >> Indicators folder.
I've updated the EA with the addition of Saturday and Sunday in the trading days, in order for the Heiken Ashi EA MT5 to be traded with cryptocurrencies.
Also the trading hours format has been changed in order to be optimizable.
Is it work for EUr/USD only or with others assets too?
Hello and thank you for purchasing my EA. It works on any symbol but you will need to test it and find a profitable setup. The default settings are for EURUSD only.

Hello,Eleni,
Heiken Ashi EA MT5.
