It was a demo, so it was fine, but in just 4 minutes, 250 orders were placed and my funds were gone. He said he would fix it and that he had, but it hasn't been fixed at all. I think it would be best to stop using this EA immediately, since you never know what conditions it will trigger.
Can we communicate in private message because here it's a lot of admin that will end up flooding the comment section. I have a lot of questions and a lot screenshots that I want from you. The number of orders that you are claiming that the EA did under 4 minutes, that is a shocking one. Number 2 the only assumption I have, you activated Cut_Loss_Mode and made it too small which ends up being like every order that is being opened the SL is placed at almost the same place with Cut_Loss and again this is a grid EA. Applying Cut_Loss_Mode it has to be that you did a thorough check and you have understood how does it use it. I will just remove the Cut_Loss function on the next update. Because everyone who is claiming that this EA is malfunctioning, they are using Cut_Loss on a grid EA without fully understanding how to implement it. The EA is not malfunctioning. As you can see on the live signals it's performing grid as a grid EA. The Cut_Loss was meant to limit the number of grid on a bigger account and you must first understand the percentage that you are using on a certain account size. That is why this mode in order to apply it properly, you must come and discuss it with me then I will send you the set file that is possible to apply Cut_Loss limiting the number of grid under a certain account but if you make any changes, the results Wil be different because Cut_Loss is being applied as a percentage not as a SL.
No, I don’t intend to communicate via private messages. It’s because you hide bad things. This EA will suffer a large drawdown if I don’t set a Cut_Loss. I would have been profitable if I had set a smaller Cut_Loss, but due to this bug, I’ve lost all my funds. I think this EA should include a StopLoss setting. In fact, with a small StopLoss, I would have been profitable.

There is no bug. Go and do your homework on how grid works. And I'm going to remove the Cut_Loss because people are not coming to ask for set file on how to use it, they are activating it without understanding it how it works and come and say that the EA is malfunctioning. To put it in a simple words, Cut_Loss is like applying stoploss with percentage. So it also needs a deeper understanding that, that percentage that you applied will be how many pips or points away from price entry. To easy this that is why we recommended coming and discuss with us on how much percentage a single trade you Want it to risk a ND tell us the account total then we will tell if you are saying is possible and not possible for example a 250 account and then you set Cut_Loss to 1% that's like placing a stoploss where the open price is which will result in a graph being plotted in a similar manner in the picture you sent because same time it opens a trade it closes it in a loss but the thing of the EA performing 250 orders in 4 minutes that's a lie. This is my last message.
For now, I don't plan to use it until I can confirm that this bug has been fixed, as I don't know what causes this bug. One way to avoid it would be to restart it every hour, but that's not realistic.
I hope the author will fix this bug from the root. If it weren't for this bug, I think it would be an EA with good entries.

On top of not understanding what I am saying, I'm also starting to think YOU CAN'T Read.
My backtest with 15 minutes, no DD cut-loss, trading Monday to Thursday at 20:00, no trading on Friday. Starting from 200 dollars with high risk. And every tick based on real ticks with a leverage of 1:500.
I need to update my comment because there was a new version released. New version 2.3 — I didn’t change the standard settings (Monday to Friday and High Risk), 30-minute chart.

Hi Marco, I ran the same backtest using your settings (Monday to Friday, High Risk, 30-minute chart, version 2.3), but my results came out quite different. In my test the equity curve does not match yours and it even goes into a noticeable drawdown.
Could you please help me understand why, with the same parameters, my backtest produces such different results? Is there anything else that needs to be adjusted, such as broker data, spread, commissions, or any hidden setting?

Hello, sure thing. First the most important question: which broker are you using? And is it a raw account or one with spread? Because that’s where most of the differences come from. I’m with IC Markets and I’m using Raw. Also very important: for the tick selection you must use “ticks based on real ticks”. That way you actually get every real tick, even though the backtest might take 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on performance.

Hi Marco, ah ok, now it makes sense — it looks like the broker you use is much more performant than mine. On my side, the results are actually better with the older version of the EA. When I run the backtest with the same settings as yours, I only get good results if I enable the cut-loss feature, otherwise the equity goes into drawdown.
So the difference in broker data and spreads is probably the main reason why my backtest doesn’t match yours.

I used to have accounts with spread as well, but since switching to RAW my trades have been about 30% better.
I’m planning to run GVolt with broker Pepperstone on a Razor (RAW/ECN) account. Will the EA work correctly and reliably on Pepperstone RAW, or is it strictly optimized for IC Markets Standard?
As far as I can see, the IC Markets Global (offshore) entity does not offer guaranteed negative balance protection in its terms, which makes me cautious about running a grid EA there. Do you have any recommended settings or adjustments for XAUUSD on a RAW account like Pepperstone Razor?

Yes, sorry, I didn't see your reply. It would be good if you could also answer the questions raised here; it might be useful to someone in the future. Best regards.
