How to backtest the EA:

It is highly recommended to use MT5 for backtesting. That way you can simulate the portfolio of all pairs trading together with compounding effect. Also, MT5 uses high quality tickdata with variable spread.
On MT5 -> Run the test on EURUSD M5, enable the OneChartSetup in the parameters, set the risk as you want, and select a high quality testing (minimum 1minute OHLC).
On MT4 -> Run the test on each individual pair on M5 timeframe. Select risk and use "every tick" for testing quality.

How to set up the EA for live trading:

Add the 2 URL's as explained in the manual.
Next, Open a EURUSD M5 chart (if your broker uses a suffix, run on a chart with that suffix! (for example: EURUSDm or EURUSD.ecn).
Attach the EA to the chart and in the parameters, set OneChartSetup = true.
Set the lotsize to your desired risk (see manual for more details).
Night scalping requires a decent ECN broker. For recommendation, contact me in PM.

-60% in 2 weeks means you are running extremely high risk lotsize. you can't expect 20% profit in a month, and not a potential big drawdown. that said, the EA is going through a normal drawdown period, not bigger than anything seen in the past so far. I understand that giving a review a few days after purchase is not logical, but giving a 1 star after a normal drawdown period also is not logical in my opinion. Drawdowns are bound to happen with any EA. If the EA doesn't recover from it after a few weeks or months, sure, give it 1 star, but don't write reviews based on a very short time period where frustrations are big.

Hi, if you went from 100$ to 30$ in 3 weeks, somethings is very wrong in your setup. everybody is making profits for the last few weeks, and from 100 to 30 is more than historical max DD, which means your lotsize is probably much too big also. Please send me all details of your setup, and also some screenshots of the EA running on your chart. I'm sure we can fix it. if your "new moon" signal is the account you are talking about, I can see you are running during the day, while it is a night scalper, and you are running on XAUUSD while that is not optimized

As such, Luna is a reliable EA. In addition, Luna does not use martingale or grid. Still, if you make the lot size too large, you can lose money. Therefore, you should be careful about the lot size setting. Also, if spreads, swap points, commissions or slippage are too large, night scalper will be difficult to profit. Therefore, you should also be careful when selecting a broker.
