Can you really make money trading?
Don't get me wrong... I don't want to answer this question, I want to get to the root of why such a question is asked. There are probably many reasons, but in my opinion, one of the most important is that successful traders don't really gain more credibility from sharing their success. They may even lose their social credibility. So they usually try to work from closed rooms and not show themselves too much. But why? For at least two reasons:
First: Very unscientific advertising around trading, such as "I will increase your wealth tenfold in a few days" and similar claims, which raise society's expectations of successful traders.
Second: Pseudo-scientific advertising, such as the fact that good traders should have a good risk-reward ratio and be able to enter and exit with smart money. While these advertisements never tell you that good risk-reward ratio means low win rate, or they never tell you how many mistakes those who manage smart money make in their entries and exits. They don't tell you that win rate has nothing to do with predictive power, but rather that it should be calculated by taking into account the default stop loss and TP.
You may ask, what about these successful traders who are active on social media? I will tell you: Of course, they do not have complete transparency in their social activities, while their narcissism and desire to show off leads to the point where they tolerate the humiliation of being active on these networks.

Did you know you cannot use underscore('_') as part of the name of a C++ function to be imported in a DLL? Took me two hours to realize.

no—that’s not generally true. You can export/import DLL functions whose names contain underscores. What likely bit you was name decoration / mangling and/or a calling-convention mismatch, not the underscore itself:

Even a small profit can change a life. Traders are invited to donate a few dollars to help provide food, clean water, and hope. Your $5 may be tiny to you—but it’s powerful to someone in need.

I am experimenting with optimization... The strategy finds setups without taking care of TP and SL distances. Which means those values can be chosen very far or very close. Setting a min/max limit to those and trying to optimize the strategy based on them is something I haven't tried so far.
